The Place Names List is a trilingual list of places located in Tibetan areas of China. Sources used for the Tibetan and Chinese names include official publications as well as local scholars.

The Simplified Wylie follows the transliteration system established by the Tibetan and Himalayan Library.

As a work in progress, we will continue to roll out names as they become available. Currently, we have posted place names from the province to county levels. The township level names will be made available in the near future. Village level place names are currently being compiled. We also have plans to provide maps and other tools in the three languages.

本地名单是用三种语言书写的在中国藏区的地名。此地名单中的中文和藏文的来源包括官方正式出版物以及当地的学者。

英文简化音译用的是由藏区和喜马拉雅图书馆设制的音译系统。

我们还在继续搜集地名，当得到更多的地名，我们将不断地予以发布。目前，我们已经发布了从省到县一级的地名。在不久的将来，我们将发布乡镇一级的地名。 目前正在 搜集村一级的地名。我们还计划提供3种语言的地图和其他工具。
